The first European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB)
Distinguished Service Award (DSA) to Professor Børge Diderichsen, Vice president of Novo-Nordisk A/S, Bagsvaerd, Denmark.
The presentation was
given by EFB President Marc Van Montagu with the citation: ”In
recognition of Børge Diderichsens determined and inspirational leadership in
re-organizing EFB as an independent scientific foundation, his success in
greatly increasing the role of EFB in Europe, and his vision in focusing
European life sciences on the great humanitarian problems in the emerging and
developing societies outside Europe.”
